The waitlist

When you join the waitlist we keep four things: your email address, the role you picked, which price you saw and clicked, and where you came from.

We use them for one job: emailing you when Postal Buddy opens. You can ask to be removed by replying to that email. We do not sell or share the list, and we do not email you about anything else.

The free scam check

The photo is read once, to answer you, and then it is thrown away. Nothing of the letter itself is saved. The only thing we keep is a count of how many checks have been done, so we can see if the free check is getting popular.

What the website and web app count

This website and the Postal Buddy web app keep a visitor count, the way a library keeps a reader count. When you open a page, or when you click, scroll, copy or send something, one count goes to our dashboard. It is kept under a number that does not say who you are, saved in your browser. The count also notes roughly where the visit came from (the city, never your address) and what kind of device it was.

We count only to see which pages help people. The count never includes a letter, a photo, your name or your email. And if your browser says Do Not Track, or enables the Global Privacy Control, we listen, and no count is kept.

The promises the app makes

• The last 4 digits only. For account, card and Social Security numbers we keep only the last 4 digits. The whole number is never saved.
• Photos are encrypted. Every page photo is encrypted before it is stored, and deleted after 30 days on the free plan. The short summary stays; the picture goes.
• No ads, no selling. You are not the product, and your household's mail is not an asset. Nobody buys your data here.
• Mom's consent. Each person who can see her mail needs her yes, on her own phone, and she can take it back any time.
• No hidden mode. A family member she has not approved sees nothing. The app never calls a letter safe; when it is not sure, it says so.
